Hybrid asynchronous SEM/FEM co-simulation for seismic nonlinear analysis of concrete gravity dams

چکیده

The aim of this work is to take full advantage Spectral Element (SE) and Finite (FE) codes by setting up a SEM/FEM co-simulation strategy for soil structure interaction problems, involving SE code generate propagate elastic waves in the soil, while FE enables detailed representation studied structure. spatial coupling managed standard mortar approach, whereas time integration dealt with an hybrid (explicit/implicit) asynchronous (different steps) integrator. set linear or nonlinear transient dynamics. A seismic analysis concrete dam considered order demonstrate versatility assuming rheology damaging behaviour concrete.
